What is the SFDR?

The SFDR is a European regulation with which the EU aims to increase transparency in the market for sustainable investment products and thus prevent greenwashing. The regulation implements a core objective of the EU’s 2018 Action Plan on Sustainable Finance. Under the SFDR, financial actors must for the first time disclose comprehensive information on ESG metrics and risks at both the company and product level. This transparency is intended to provide investors with essential information to make more sustainable investment decisions and thus direct financial flows toward sustainable transformation
