After the rating agency S&P Global has already announced its schedule for this year’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, the updated methodology for this year’s rating has now also been published.

The new methodology confirms the trend that rating agencies are increasingly relying on publicly available information. Internal documents of the rated companies are finding less and less acceptance.

In addition, ratings are increasingly based on regulations such as CSRD, CDP or CSDDD. It makes sense to coordinate the implementation of regulations, the processing of ratings and sustainability communication within the company in order to exploit synergies.

What can we do? From raising awareness and educating people about water consumption in everyday life to promoting sustainable practices in agriculture and supporting innovative solutions in water management – combating water stress requires collective action.
