Impact & Allocation Reporting – Creating Transparency on the Use of Proceeds and Impact
Transparency is a key component of credible sustainable financing. Investors and other stakeholders expect reliable information on how financing proceeds are used and what environmental or social impacts the financed projects achieve.
Through structured allocation and impact reporting, we support companies, financial institutions and municipalities in transparently documenting the use of proceeds and the impact of their sustainable financing activities.
What Are Allocation and Impact Reporting?
Allocation Reporting documents how proceeds from use-of-proceeds sustainable financing instruments are allocated. This includes the allocation of funds to eligible projects and project categories, as well as information on allocated and unallocated proceeds.
Impact Reporting measures and assesses the expected or achieved environmental and social outcomes of financed projects using appropriate impact indicators.
Environmental indicators may include avoided or reduced greenhouse gas emissions (t CO₂e), installed renewable energy capacity (MW), renewable energy generated (MWh), water savings (m³), and waste prevented or recycled (tonnes).
Social indicators may include the number of people with improved access to education or healthcare services, newly created school and vocational training places, and additional hospital beds. These indicators can reflect both tangible project outputs and newly created capacities, as well as the resulting outcomes.
Both reporting approaches complement each other, providing transparency on the use of proceeds and the expected or achieved impacts. We follow the requirements of the respective Sustainable Finance Framework and recognised market standards, particularly ICMA recommendations.
