Since January 1, 2023, the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) has applied to companies with more than 3,000 employees in Germany, and from 2024 it will apply to all companies with more than 1,000 employees.

As the name suggests, the new law is about German companies fulfilling an increased duty of care within their supply chain in the future. Specifically, a company must ensure that human rights violations and environmental damage are prevented during production and transport along the entire value chain.
